Glass Beadmaking Class
with Joy Lait

This 4-hour, one-on-one, beginning class will give you the information and basic skills necessary to begin making glass beads on your own. You will learn how to make a round bead and various other types of beads, including dots, raked, square, twisted, and barrel, as well as various embellishments. In addition, safety, equipment, types of glass, and annealing will be covered. The class can also be targeted to skill level and experience of the student.

The cost is $125 for 4 hours of personal, one-on-one instruction. The class fee covers all materials and you will keep whatever you make and also all the beads that the instructor makes in the class.

What should you expect? This class will provide lampworking experience so that you can decide if this is something you would like to pursue.

Instructor: Joy Lait has been making beads since 2000. She has been juried into the Kentucky Crafted Program, Kentucky Guild, and the Louisville Artisans Guild. Joy is also a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and the Glass Art Society.
